1. Warm –up.

1) Greetings: T: Good morning children! I’m Ms Peng. I’m so happy to see you .How are you

today? T: Today we’ll learn Module 9 Unit1 of Grade four Let’s begin our class. I divide you into group A and group B. Who wines one star for you. Good luck children.

2. Revision

1) What’s this? Show out real thing.(football) T: And what’s this? Show out real thing.

(basketball) T: Do you like them? T: Me too. I can play basketball. Can you…? In Grade Three, we learned: play football… (Show the courseware.) T:Now you look at the pictures.

Then speak out the phrases.

2) (Show the courseware.) T: Look here. Who’s he? Do you know? Ss: He’s Y ao Ming.

T: Yes. He’s a player. We know he can play basketball very well. He likes sports very much.

T: Oh! Who’s he?

Ss: He’s Liu Xiang.

T: Yes. We know he can run very fast. He’s a player, too. He likes sports, too. Do you like sports? Guess: What’s the meaning of sports? Now look at the chant. Teach “win” . Let’s chant together.

3. Presentation.

1) Presentation of the new words and dialogue.

(Show the courseware.)T: We’re going to have a sports day this month. Show the cards of sports day、month and teach them. (Show the courseware.)T: I’m going to run the 100 metres. I’m going to run every day. Show the cards of every day, metre and teach them.

T: What are you going to do for sports day? (Show the courseware.)Are you going to… on sports day? Write down the sentence and teach it. You can answer: Yes/No, I’m going to…

2) Practice

T: Now I ask you answer. Then you ask I answer. Now work in pairs to talk about : We’re going to have a sports day this month. Are you going to…on sports day? Yes/No. I’m going to…T: Finish talking? Have a try , please. Don’t be shy. Hands up.

3) Game

T: Today is sports day. Let’s play a game of short running. (Show the courseware.)Group One ××× T:They’re going to have a short running match .When they’re ready for it , we can say: “good luck ” to them . Show the card of good luck and teach it. T: When they’re running, we can say :“come on ! come on!” Show the card of come on and teach it. T: Group One. Please come here. T: Are you ready? One, two, three , go!

4) Group A is the winner. I’m proud of you. Thank you. Group B is the loser, but that’s no

matter. I love you all the same. Come on、 come on、 come on.

5)Listen and repeat

Daming’s school is going to have a sports day this month. Let’s listen. Li sten again then answer my question. Is Daming going to run on sports day? Please listen. Who can answer my question? Have a try please. T: Now the third listen begin. Listen and repeat.

6) Chant
